Business Courses:

Real Estate Principles- this course taught me the basics of the real estate field. I learned how land, and properties get priced, to how to purchase a home or apartment. How mortgages work, how to finance homes, renting and leasing, and the laws of a homeowner.

Advertising and Marketing Communication- this course taught me the principles of marketing, and marketing strategies. We analyzed and studied various advertising campaigns and strategies implemented by successful marketing firms. Also, the class projects required us to develop and design our own marketing strategies.

Management Strategy- this course provided us with methods and tools for becoming effective leaders. Examining of successful managers, guest speakers, and successful management strategy implemented by real life companies and corporations. Good assignment of having to interview a real world manager in the work force.

Personal Finance- this extremely useful course gives an overview of all the financial situations one will encounter in their life. Goes over different ways of saving money, making investment decisions, playing the stock market, and understanding how bonds and mutual funds work. Project assignment of making a stock investment and doing a one-year analysis of that investment of a stock and mutual fund.

Mass Communication Courses:

Media Issues in Pop Culture- this course examined the pop culture phenomenon in the mass media. We examined the beginnings of pop culture to modern day situations. Major class assignment was a case study of a pop culture artifact of our choice.

Sex, Love, and Romance in the Mass Media- this course examined how sex, love, and romance is portrayed in today’s media. We examined examples from cinema, television, magazines, books, and the Internet. We learned that media myths are developed at a young age and produce false hoods and stereotypes about sex, love, and romance in today’s day and age.

International Communication- this course examines others countries and cultures in terms of how their mass communication networks are set-up. Individual studies of the mass media from continent to continent, and comparisons to our mass media.

Visual Communication- this course studied all different types of communication. This course went over the elements of understanding visual communication. Developing our analytical and critical skills, also verbal and visual literacy. Communication within television and film, and certain aspects of the Internet  .
